Freed Eisemann Radios, Parts, Accessories

The Freed-Eisemann Radio Corporation was established by Joseph Freed and Alexander Eisemann in 1922. Their first product was a crystal radio set called the Marvel.

In 1923, the company adopted the new and superior radio circuitry designed by Alan Hazeltine. The Neutrodyne circuit, as it was named, helped spur growth in sales of Freed-Eisemann high-end radios. Competitors such as Atwater Kent and the Freshman company, producing less expensive radios, eventually took more of the market share. The Freed-Eisemann company went into receivership in 1929 and its assets were auctioned off in 1930.

Joseph Freed and his brother Arthur Freed started other companies that manufactured radios and, later, televisions bearing the Freed or Freed-Eisemann name.
